A rental date is not guaranteed until the required rental packet has been completed and confirmation has been provided by DIY Party in a Box. Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Customers have 24 hours from the time the rental packet is sent to complete all reservation requirements, including the signed Rental Agreement, payment of the refundable security deposit, and providing a valid card on file. If all requirements are not completed within 24 hours, the requested rental items will be released and made available to other customers without further notice.
For reservations made during the same week as the rental, all reservation requirements must be completed the same day the rental packet is sent. If not completed that day, the requested items will be released and made available to other customers.
A valid debit or credit card is required for all rentals. The card on file must remain active and available until all rented items have been returned, inspected, and the rental has been closed. Customers may not lock, freeze, or otherwise restrict the card in any way that prevents authorized charges. If the card on file is lost, stolen expires, or is replaced, the customer must notify DIY Party in a Box Rentals right away and provide a valid replacement card.
All rentals are picked up on Friday and returned on Monday unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Customers are responsible for transporting all rental items safely and securely. Items must be returned by the agreed-upon return time. Late returns may be subject to additional fees.
DIY Party in a Box is primarily a pickup service, helping you save money while enjoying an amazing party experience. But, if you need delivery, we may be able to help!
We understand that plans can change.
In certain situations, including family emergencies, serious illness, or severe weather, Party in a Box may offer a one-time rescheduling credit at its sole discretion. Rental credits must be used within 12 months of the original rental date.
Customers are responsible for all rental items from the time of pickup until the time they are returned. Please treat all equipment with care and use it only for its intended purpose. Customers may be charged for missing, damaged, excessively dirty, or broken items beyond normal wear and tear.
Most DIY Party in a Box rentals can be used indoors or outdoors. However, customers are responsible for monitoring weather conditions and protecting rental items from rain, excessive moisture, high winds, and other potentially damaging conditions. Refunds will not be issued due to unfavorable weather. Rescheduling may be offered when inventory and scheduling permit.
Adult supervision is required whenever rental equipment is being used by children. Customers assume responsibility for the safe use of all rented items and for the supervision of all guests during the rental period.
DIY Party in a Box is not responsible for injuries resulting from misuse, improper setup, lack of supervision, or failure to follow safety guidelines.
Our standard rental period is designed for weekend events, with pickup on Friday and return on Monday.
Mid-week rentals may be available on a limited, case-by-case basis depending on inventory availability and scheduling. Because our business is primarily set up for weekend rentals, mid-week bookings are considered exceptions and are not guaranteed.
If you are interested in a mid-week rental, please contact us before booking. Additional fees, modified rental periods, or special pickup and return times may apply.

Yes....when available. Same day rentals are subject to availability and must be confirmed AND picked up by 5pm, along with a signed agreement and payment in full.
DIY Party in a Box operates by scheduled pickups. Customers receive the exact pickup address and pickup instructions prior to their scheduled pickup time. For planning purposes, we are located in the Modena, NY area.
No. Our standard rentals are customer pickup and return. Delivery and pickup may be available for certain rentals based on location, availability, and the size of the order. Please contact us for a quote.
Once your reservation is confirmed, you'll pick up your party rental in Modena, NY on Friday, enjoy it all weekend, and return it on Monday. Pickup and return times are scheduled in advance by appointment.

Yes! While DIY pickup is our standard service, delivery is available for an additional fee based on your location and availability.
Delivery is available only to locations with ground-level access. We do not carry rental equipment up or down stairs or to upper-level apartments, event spaces, or other locations requiring stair or elevator access.

Yes. A refundable security deposit is required for all rentals. The deposit helps protect rental equipment from loss, damage, excessive cleaning, or late returns. Deposits are refunded after all items are returned and inspected.
All rental fees, security deposits, and any applicable delivery fees must be paid before pickup or delivery. Reservations are not guaranteed until required payments and paperwork have been completed.

Normal wear and tear is expected. However, customers are responsible for damaged, lost, stolen, or excessively soiled items during the rental period.

Cancellation policies are outlined in your rental agreement. Please contact us as soon as possible if your plans change.
Please return all items in the condition outlined in your rental agreement. Items should be free of excessive dirt, food, debris, decorations, tape, or other materials. If an item is returned excessively dirty beyond normal use, a cleaning fee will be applied and deducted from your security deposit.
